Principal's Message

Greetings Normandy School Community!

Energy levels are extremely high at this time of the year, but Normandy remains an amazing learning community for kids.  With great effort and commitment, the Normandy teachers and staff, in partnership with strong families, support and encourage Normandy kids!  It is with sadness that I think about our 2nd grade students moving on, but Westerly is receiving a wonderful group of kids! At the same time I am already getting excited for next year, and the chance to meet a new crew of kindergarten students!

The 1st Grade Music Program will be May 8th at the Bay High School auditorium.  Thank you in advance to Dr. Kotora, first grade students and teachers for their efforts to prepare for such a performance.  This will certainly be another wonderful moment for our 1st grade students and families, and a perfect way to celebrate spring together!

Move Up Day - On May 28th & 30th, Normandy Kindergarten (May 28) and 1st grade (May 30) students will “Move Up” to next year’s classroom.  Each Kindergarten and 1st Grade Student will bring home a welcome letter announcing next year’s teacher.  This will be your first notification of who their teacher will be next school year. Additional details about Move Up Day will be sent home soon.

Final Week Theme Days - We have added a few theme days to help end the year with a little fun.

Monday, June 3 - Hat Day

Tuesday, June 4 - Crazy Socks Day (LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!)

2019-20 Kindergarten Students - Registration is ongoing.  If you have a kindergarten student who will start next fall, please register now.

It is our hope to further enrich the learning of every Normandy student and to maximize each child’s academic growth.  As we wrap up the school year, I am thrilled to be able to partner with each family and teacher to ensure great learning experiences for every child!

Sincerely,

Dan Sebring, Principal
